The Bratstvo 1869 Community Center Kyustendil announces the Program of the XXVIII International Classical Guitar Competition, which will be held in the period 10-12 April 2025. As every year, the participants, divided into different groups and categories, will be evaluated by some of the best specialists in the field of guitar art from Bulgaria, Denmark, Italy, Serbia, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Kosovo, etc.
The participants in the competition will also have the opportunity to participate in master classes by guitarists Finn Svit from Denmark, Nino D'Amico - Italy, Darko Bageski - North Macedonia, Viktor Ilić and Aleksandar Hadji-Djordžević from Serbia, Ognyan Valev from Bulgaria.
As every year, talks, lectures and recitals by some of the most prominent guitarists from the country and abroad will be held during the three evenings of the Music forum.
The International Classical Guitar Competition is organized annually under the patronage of the Mayor of Kyustendil Municipality – Eng. Ognyan Atanasov. The Artistic Director is Mr. Ivan Andonov.
The competition is included in the Program for the Protection of gifted children in Bulgaria of the Ministry of Culture, under which targeted financial support and one-year scholarships are granted to the first, second and third place participants in the second and third age groups.
